If you are ok with polaroid instant film like quality then this is the printer for you. But this is very much unacceptable quality. I know this is not a professional printer, and was not expecting such. It prints darkened images, or slightly washed out, and not nearly as detailed as its specs suggest. And just as it was on the Mac (but *slightly* less so) the color accuracy was very poor. There seems to be no way to print an entire image unless it is in some exact resolution that the printer requires (whatever that is).

The Windows driver will print a ce ntered image, but it always seemed to crop some of the image. Due to all these problems I pulled out an old netbook to try it out on Windows. So if that's what you have avoid this device completely. The driver simply doesn't work correctly on a Mac. Also, the part of the image it did print was never centered. And I could not get it to print an entire image no matter what (very limited) options I chose. So I had to use an older Mac to use the printer. The driver said it installed on 10.6 but doesn't really.

I mainly use Macs, and the drivers for this printer only work on 10.4 or 10.5, so be aware. From the reviews I read I was expecting this printer to be a little better, and the 4圆 size was what I was after. I had a Pogo Zink printer and it was ok, but the prints are too small (2x3). Useless on a Mac, minimal use on Windows.

Compared to other ZINK printers this one is king IMHO, but I still prefer an inkjet for all my printing needs, including photos! Read full review The photo center at my local store charges 39 cents at a much higher resolution plus the pictures will last longer than the 10 years guaranteed by Pandigital. I couldn't print from a laptop so after putting pictures on multiple USB drives I finally got one to work (kept getting memory device not recognized) and was amazed at how quick it printed, about a minute, though at a fairly high cost, about 75 cents a photo. It's small size takes up less desk real estate than conventional printers and while it's supposed to be 'mobile' and 'portable' the lack of any network functionality means using an SD card or USB drive to print from. I bought this printer to set up at my daughters 1 year birthday party so I can send the family home with the pictures we took. The Pandigital PANPRINT01 is a compact and lightweight printer (about the size of a desktop dvd drive) that uses ZINK technology (only Pandigital paper will work) to print photos at a resolution of 300x400 Dpi. Fast, low quality, high cost photos make this a less than ideal solution.
